one year, year one.

Pretty much the same story, but different.

Sometimes we are so afraid to relive our past, our traumas, that we do not allow ourselves to be loved, to be vulnerable, to be seen. During these times, notice you can review the past and learn from it, but you can’t relive it.
No matter what happened to you, it’s never going to be the same because you wouldn’t react in the same way you did before.

You are a different person, every single day. You are a different person, to everyone you meet.
We all try to resist - but we are constantly changing.

So here, my first year in London - the same street, the same river, the same bridge, the same window - but different each time.
I wish you do not relive your past. I wish you can notice the beauty of change.

Video: Marisa Peer - “How to tell if you are learning from your past - or just reliving it.” (If I were in you, I would watch it now!)
